Thunder Road Band was formed in the early spring of 2005, and like all new bands we struggled to get out of the practice room and onto the stage.   Lots of changes and finding the right group of guys that all work together is key for a lasting band.

We played our first gig at the Rutland Moose Club in Rutland Vt. on April 30, 2005. A short time later, on June 11, we played The Red Moon Saloon, also in Rutland.  It was then we began to see that the long hours of practice, dedication, and the frustrating struggles of putting a band together were going pay off. 

By the fall of 2005 we managed to get in, play, and get booked into the rotations of multiple Vermont clubs. We even got the opportunity to play for Down Town Rutland at the annual Chili Cook-off.  We ended 2005 playing 24 gigs, including a few benefits, and private parties.

We play an awesome mix of modern country and classic rock,  songs from Toby Keith, Big and Rich, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, Lynyrd Skynrd, Poison and many more.  We love to have fun and raise hell, more importantly we like our audiences to have fun and raise hell.  The more they're into it, the more we're into it and it makes for a great party.
