Born Feb 26, 1977 and raised a good ole Vermonter. I graduated from West Rutland High in 1995. Then graduated Vermont Technical college in 1997. It was there where I actually started to learn how to play the guitar, at least more than a couple of chords.
While at VTC I had made friends with a guitar player who offered to show me how to play in our free time. There was nothing else to do there so I picked up a cheap guitar and started learning. I learned the basics while at VTC and it was enough for me to entertain myself when I had nothing better to do. I enjoyed singing and playing, as long as no one was around to hear me, if someone would came around I would shut my mouth and put the guitar away. It was not until 2003 when my father had asked myself and my uncle if we thought we could make a song out of a poem he wrote for my mother for there 25th wedding anniversary that the concept of being in a band was even thought of. We put together a song and some how I even got talked in to singing with my uncle in front of a 150 people at there anniversary party. This was scary, most people knew me as the quite guy that didn’t say BOO to any one. Long story short it went on from there. A couple of chance meetings with other local bands and a guest on there stages it was time to assemble my own band.
I tried for a few years to get the pieces together and after a lot work and several different people in and out I started finding the right people. Starting with Paul, who really helped me get all the pieces in order, then Greg, and finally Earle. The guys that make up Thunder Road Band today and have for the last 2 years. I think what really makes a good band is the people. Guys that can spend a lot time working together, dealing with problems, picking on each other, and having fun doing it is key. It rubs off on the music and more importantly the crowd.
